What do we eat, drink and wear? What are familiar objects around us made of? How does the human body work? Answers to these and many other questions can be found with the help of Levenhuk Rainbow 2L Orange Microscope. The kit includes everything a young scientist may need – starting with a detailed user guide and ending with the required instruments. Levenhuk Rainbow 2L Orange makes a great gift for any inquisitive child – unlike regular (and boring) biological microscopes, this model comes in a bright and stylish body of juicy orange colour.
Images of high quality and wide range of magnifications
Optical elements are made of special glass distinguished by a high level of transparency. Multilayer coating of the lenses significantly increases light transmission and enhances contrast of resulting images. The kit includes three objective lenses, so the microscope provides 40-400x magnification out of the box. To change the magnification, simply rotate the revolving nosepiece.
Double illumination
To start your observation, place the selected sample on the microscope’s stage and secure it with two stage clips. If the sample is transparent (aquarium water or a thin plant slice), use lower illumination. Upper illumination allows for observing opaque objects (stones, coins, paper, or plant leaves). If you want to observe a semitransparent sample, both illuminations should be turned on. Top and bottom light sources have adjustable brightness, so you can set different levels of illumination for different samples.
User-friendly construction
The microscope’s body is made of sturdy plastic–that’s why the microscope is so lightweight, portable and, at the same time, reliable. The head inclined at 45° allows observing from the most comfortable position. The microscope can be powered by household current as well as by batteries. The latter gives you the unique opportunity to observe outdoors.
Caution: Please refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to plug a 110V device into 220V outlet and vice versa without using a converter. Remember that mains voltage in the U.S. and Canada is 110V and 220-240V in most European countries.
Experiment kit
Prior to starting observing everything that fits on the microscope’s stage, it’s absolutely necessary to learn to operate it. This is exactly why this model comes with Levenhuk K50 Experiment Kit, which has everything required for conducting first experiments with microscope. The kit includes prepared microscope slides, instruments for making your own microscope slides as well as detailed user guide with information on microscope’s construction, useful advices and descriptions of exciting experiments.
